Education Classes start again September 13, 2010 at 7:00 pm at Heiskell School.

Seamanship ($65)
If you’ve had a basic boating safety course, this is the next step to continue your learning.  This course emphasizes a higher level of boating skills, rules of the road, and marlinspike. Find out more and sign up.

Advanced Piloting ($50)
This course applies the navigation principles and skills learned in Piloting to more complex scenarios.  This includes situations involving depths, clearances, currents, tides and wind.  Use of electronic navigation is also discussed. Find out more and sign up.

Navigation ($145)
This class is for those who have completed Junior Navigation.  Continue your celestial navigation using the stars, moon and planets. Find out more and sign up.

Marine Electronics 101 ($45)
This is a class for those who are interested in learning about Boat Electrical Systems.  It provides information about properties of electricity, electrical power requirements and wiring practices, direct current power, alternating current power, galvanic and stray-current corrosion, lightning protection, and electrical interference.
