Cost: A materials fee of $20 will be charged however, purchase of materials is not required to take the seminar.
This is a basic GPS beginner’s course. Besides the operating principles of GPS, “waypoints”, “routes” and “tracks” will be explained. Whether you already own a GPS and need to learn how it operates or you are in the market to purchase a GPS, this course will give you the basic operating principles of any brand GPS.
This seminar is being provided by the Atlanta Sail and Power Squadron. The instructor will be Douglas Townes.

Our Fall Leaf Cruise was held on Saturday November 6. It started and ended at the New Pier 29 (the former Latern Inn). We met up at the dock at Pier 29 and started our cruise north. We regrouped back at the Pier 29 dock for dinner and dancing.
October 21st

Our Speaker will be our very own Mike Schneider. He will be giving us a program about some of his many travels. If you have had the privilege to be at one of his earlier presentations you know how great his adventures are. This will, of course, be a new adventure, and one you will not want to miss. 6:00 social hour and order dinner if you would like. The meeting starts at 7:00. This will be a very exciting evening so we hope to see everyone there.
October 16th Bring your German beer, wine and soft drinks and don’t forget your lederhosen! Don’t forget to bring something to share . We’ll gather about noon at Wedding Island. Maybe we’ll be able to sing around a camp fire if we can get on the land. Come and join the fun and the beautiful fall weather (we hope).
